This page explains what is specific to Vireo Transit. The Vireo-wide security also applies and covers the shared Vireo layer.
The shared Vireo layer
This product uses Vireo’s shared identity and security controls where an account is required. Product boundaries and database permissions limit records to the person, business, operator, or authorised support role that needs them.
Ticket and location controls
Ticket reads and changes are restricted to the passenger and authorised operator or crew roles. Precise vehicle information is shown only in the service context that permits it, and stale coordinates are not presented as a trustworthy live position.
Crew and operator access
Roles that collect fares, operate a line, or manage network information require authorised access. Important actions are recorded so operational changes can be reviewed.
