This page explains what is specific to Vireo Transit. The Vireo-wide privacy also applies and covers the shared Vireo layer.
Journeys and tickets
Transit processes the stops, day, journey, fare class, passenger, ticket, and service messages needed to plan and keep track of travel. A ticket bought for somebody else records the traveller needed for that trip.
Location
With device permission, Transit can use location to find nearby stops or accept a service contribution you choose to send. Live vehicle coordinates are restricted to people with the relevant ticket; other passengers receive less precise service information.
Operators and crews
The responsible bus line and authorised crew see the ticket and boarding information needed to operate the service. One operator cannot browse another operator’s private records through Transit.
